Tal rumor causou bastante indignação, pois em cada entrega de Pokémon a Nintendo acaba por lançar uma 3ª versão uns meses mais tarde.
Entretanto. a GameTrailers entrevistou Junichi Masuda e perguntou-lhe se haveria ou não um terceiro jogo para a 5ª Geração.
Masuda confirmou que "sim haverá um terceiro jogo, o Pokémon Cinzento".
"O verdadeiro nome de N só será revelado no 3º jogo, mas já existem algumas pistas em Black e White."
Ele ficou bastante surpreendido quando soube que já corriam rumores que não.
Curiosamente, Mana Ebe estava presente nesta entrevista também mas não quis prestar declarações.

At some sites and Internet forums began throwing rumors that there wouldn't be a 3rd game in the Pokémon Saga: Black and White.
This rumor caused some outrage, because at each Pokémon delivery, Nintendo eventually release a 3rd version some months later.
In an interview, Mana Ebe said to Meristation that wouldn't be created a 3rd game for the 5th generation.
However, GameTrailers interviewed Junichi Masuda and asked him whether or not there was a third game for the 5th Generation.
Masuda confirmed that "yes there will be a third game, Pokémon Gray."
"After all, N's real name is hinted to be revealed in the 3rd game."
He was very surprised when he heards about the rumors that are circulating already saying that.
Curiously, Mana Ebe was also present at this interview but refused make statements.
